E&N Rail Trail

On-leash

Follows the old rail corridor through Metchosin. Forested sections, creek crossings, and open meadows. Quieter than the Galloping Goose.

Rural roads and paths through farmland and forest provide quiet, scenic walks. Keep dogs on-leash near livestock.

  • Sandcut Beach offers year-round off-leash access.
  • Keep dogs on-leash near farmland, livestock, and wildlife.
  • Poop and scoop required. Fines: $100 to $250.

Terrain note: Sandcut Beach has rocky terrain that may not be suitable for senior dogs or those with paw sensitivity. Bring boots for both you and your dog.
